What is the difference between double glazing and flush glazing?

Double glazing

Double glazing is a very popular choice for homeowners who want to reduce heat loss and your monthly power bill while retaining natural light into your home. Double glazing also reduces external noise pollution to further enhance quality living. Spending money on double glazing should be viewed as an investment with great returns.

Flush glazing

Flush glazing is an entirely different product. This type of glazing allows for glass to be the main feature. The glass is set in a channel which is then set flush with the frame at the top of the channel. The result is the appearance of floor to ceiling glass (the aluminium frame is barely visible).

Why include a thermal break in your aluminium joinery?

While aluminium is low maintenance, strong and adaptable to a variety of situations, the material itself is conductive, which means that heat can pass through it. By adding a thermal break or insulation to your aluminium windows or doors, the transfer of the outside temperature to the inside part of the aluminium is greatly reduced.
